A fifth generation winery, the Angove family can boast an astounding 393 international awards in the last five years alone. Established in 1886 by Dr Angove, whose active interest in chemistry led him to experience with winemaking and viticulture. Now headed by Dr Angove’s great-grandson, the winery is famed for its diversity - with plantings of over 19 different grape varieties - and have bucked commercial trends in favour of top-quality, personality-filled wines. This exceptional Riesling is full of refreshing lime and spicy orange flavour. Light and thirst quenching, it’s great on its own … even better with grilled king prawns.

With plantings of over 19 different grape varieties, the wine is famed for their rare wines. Traditionally grown in the Rhone, the Grenache grape is seldom seen in Australia. Planted over 25 years ago, their vines produced wonderfully rich fruit, full of flavour. Chenin Blanc is the classic white grape of France’s Loire Valley - famous for honeyed wines with bracing acidity, like Vouvray. But in Australia it excels in making simple, soft, crisp and fruity wines like Brightlands Chenin Blanc. This deliciously refreshing, light white - from Southern Australia - is perfect if you don’t fancy Down Under’s big, bold buttery Chardonnays, and are not in the mood for Sauvignon’s full-on, tongue-tingling zing! Pale straw in colour, with aromas of lemon, kiwi fruit - herbal and honey characters too. Soft and full palate, with lighter citrus notes, melon and a good length. Generous weight.
